Reading Buddies Registration starts September 1st!
Teens can pick up forms in the Children's Department starting September 1st. Reading buddies sessions begin the 3rd week of September.
Teen Book Club Fall 2010
Once again the teen book club will have three meetings during the fall. Register from September 1st onward in the Children's Department and pick up a copy of the first book:
Meeting 1: October 5th, 3:30. We'll discuss The Secret Life of Prince Charming by Deb Caletti.
Meeting 2: November 2nd, 3:30. We'll discuss Red Sea by Diane Tullson
Meeting 3: December 7th, 3:30. We'll discuss a book to be chosen by the group in the first session!
These are informal chats with snacks provided!
Teen Swap Meet October 19th
This is your chance to trade in your STUFF for some fabulous STUFF from someone else's collection. You can bring music, books, magazines, clean reasonable clothing items, posters, decorations, ornaments, clean jewellry items, and more. You'll have 2 hours to put your wares on the table for others to choose from while you scout for new gems for yourself. The idea is that all your stuff is for give-away. Remember one person's junk is another one's treasure!
Arrive at the library at 3:30 on Tuesday OCTOBER 19th with your bags of stuff. Trade stuff 'til 5:30, then help clean up the left overs.
Snacks and music provided!
