Display Collection
The Display Collection in the Children’s Department consists of a variety of children’s publications. Many of them have won awards from library associations and other organizations. Some other items included are books autographed by authors or illustrators; a few classic titles that have not won awards but are library, teacher and child favourites (think Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do You See?); and an eclectic selection of interesting and out-of-print titles.
Please feel free to browse among these books, but note that they cannot be checked out. The library does have other, circulating copies of many of them.
Although the New Westminster Public Library is not a large library, we are happy to be able to share a few treasures from the world of children’s literature that you may not find elsewhere.
