The Reference Department offers free one-on-one computer tutorials every Saturday. The tutorials last 40 minutes and are by appointment only.

Topics we can cover in the tutorials include:

• Using the Library's computers and the Library's website
• Setting up and using a web-based email account
• Basic Internet searching
• Basic computer skills (opening and closing programs, using a mouse)
• Saving files to a flash drive
• Basic word processing (opening a new document, changing font attributes, line spacing

Topics we can't cover include:

• Using your personal electronic device (iPad, iPhone, iPod, laptop, netbook, digital camera)
• Using iTunes (it's not on our public computers)
• Detailed resume advice (but we can show you lots of great books to get you started)
• Webpage creation
• Image editing
• Excel, Powerpoint, and advanced word processing
