During library renovations the Historical Society meets at Century House at 620 8th St - just around the corner from NWPL's Main Branch.

New Westminster’s Great Fire of September 1898: Help After the Fire
This presentation will look at the assistance that came to the city’s aid after the "Great Fire" of September 10 and 11, 1898, including the relief centre and specific examples of relief that was offered.

This presentation will focus on questions and answers that have been raised throughout the decades that the New Westminster Historical Society has been meeting. There will be a discussion on some new program topics that might appear in 2019.

Christmas Scenes At New Westminster From Earlier Years of the City
This presentation will include a number of historical examples of Christmas time in New Westminster, including what a “Victorian Christmas’ might include as well as more detailed looks at specific years in the early city and what happened locally around those dates.
