November is Financial Literacy Month!
Family Services of Greater Vancouver in conjunction with New Westminster Public Library is hosting a 3-part Financial Literacy series over Zoom during November. November 10, 2020, 5-6:30pm: Dealing with Credit and Debt
Credit can be an important means to help us reach our life goals. But when credit becomes too large it can become an overwhelming burden on our life that can negatively affect us financially, physically and mentally.
November 17, 2020, 5-6:30pm: Take control of your money with Budgeting
Budgeting is always a good tool to take control of your money. Learn how it tracks your income and expenses and provides a road map to help you achieve financial wellness.
November 24, 2020, 5-6:30pm: Investing in your Future: The importance of planning, saving and investing
This final workshop in the Financial Literacy series will discuss how to take advantage of the tax free and tax deferred registered accounts to save for yours and your family’s future. Plus, learn about investing options to help build and strengthen your financial wellness. Understand the benefits and drawbacks of various types of investments before committing your hard earned money. Develop strategies for planning out your financial future.
