The New Westminster Museum and Archives alongside the New Westminster Public Library are proud to present a four part Indigenous Film series to be held throughout the year. Join us as we welcome members of the local Indigenous community in leading the discussion sessions for each film. Films will not be screened but can be watched in advance via the free-to-stream links provided below.
Indigenous Law, Lands, and Waters
Join a conversation with filmmaker Kamala Todd. Through a series of three short films - Indigenous Law: An Introduction, H̓aíkilaxsi c̓isḷá w̓áw̓áx̌tusa gáyáqḷa qṇts dṃxsax̌v: Respecting and Taking Care of our Ocean Relatives, and Indigenous Plant Diva - Kamala introduces the key role of Indigenous laws and knowledge in restoring good relations with the lands and waters, and honouring Indigenous sovereignty.
