Calling all teen artists! Do you want to see your work all over New Westminster this summer? The library is now accepting submissions into our first ever Teen Summer Reading Club art contest! The winner will receive a gift card to Michaels and their artwork will be used in our 2018 Teen SRC poster, bookmark, and online promotional material. Two runners up will also be selected to receive prizes.

Entry forms with contest rules and guidelines are available at the library or online here.

Deadline: April 15, 2018

Get volunteer hours for reading!

We have Advance Reading Copies (ARCs) of several books that have not been published yet. Check one out, read it, write a review, and let us know if we should buy it! Your reviews will help us decide whether to add these titles to our collection.

You will receive one hour of volunteer credit for the review, and 2-4 hours for reading the book, depending on how long it is.

To participate, sign a book out at the information desk in the Children’s and Teen Department at the Main Branch.

The next TAG meeting will be February 27

The library's Teen Advisory Group (TAG) meets every month to discuss books and media, make suggestions for library collections and programs, and buy books for the library. We also just hang out and have a good time! To join, just show up to a meeting and introduce yourself.
