Library2Go (OverDrive): eBooks and Audiobooks

  1. Download free app or software (scroll down).
  2. Browse books and borrow them with your NWPL card.
  3. Download the book(s) to your computer or device.

Borrowing information:

• Who can borrow? Any New Westminster resident with a valid NWPL card.
• How many books? Borrow up to 5 books at a time.
• For how long? Up to 21 days.
• How to return? Books are automatically returned at the end of the borrowing period. No late fees ever! 
You can also return books early.
• How to renew? If no one is on the waiting list for the book, the option to renew will appear within 3 days of the book's due date.
• How many holds? Place up to 5 holds at a time.

 

Freading eBooks

  1. Download the Freeding app for iOS or Android. Note: all mobile device users will need an Adobe ID in order to activate their Freading app for use. If you do not already have an Adobe ID, please create one by visiting the Adobe website
  2. Browse books and borrow them with your NWPL card.
  3. Download the book to your computer or device.

Borrowing information:

• Who can borrow? Any New Westminster resident with a  valid NWPL card.
• How many books? Borrow up to 3 books per week.
• For how long? 14 days.
• How to return? Books are automatically returned at the end of the borrowing period. No late fees ever!
• How to renew? Once your time period has expired, you can renew a book by visiting the book display again on the library’s Freading site.  You can go to the download link and downloading it will renew the eBook for 2 more weeks.
• How many holds? No holds, the Freading collection is always available!

RBdigital Audiobooks

Choose from thousands of unabridged audiobooks. Features top Canadian titles. No waiting, no holds queues. Always available, 24/7 for download to your computer or mobile device. You’ll need to create a one-time-only RBdigital account in order to access.

How do I create an RBdigital account?

Users must create the account with their NWPL card using the RBdigital link available on NWPL website. If you already have an account used for emagazines (formerly Zinio) or IndieFlix, please use the same credentials to log on.

How do I listen to Audiobooks?
There are two options to listen to audiobooks:

  • through a web browser (streaming); requirements: wifi connection and a device with Internet capabilities. 
  • by downloading audiobooks using the mobile RBdigital app for Android or iOS or the desktop app for Windows or iOS
