Parking Changes!

Parking at the library has changed, and new and increased visible signage has been installed to help.

* For the duration of the renovation, construction trailers will take over the back portion of the west side public parking lot (beside the gas station)

* 8 public parking spots have been added to the side of the library beside Dairy Queen

* All public parking spots now have a limit of 2 hours

* Parking on 6 Ave in front of the library has been converted to 30 minutes paid parking

If you have trouble finding spots, paid parking along the street, and parking lots off of 7th Street are available.

We thank you for your patience as we make these changes to better serve our users and as we move into renovations.

Borrow More and Longer this Season at the Library!

Be Merry! Based on user feedback, we have increased the allowed number of requests, items out, and renewals.

In anticipation of the holiday season, there are also no more seasonal limits. To help with this change, we have simplified our limits so that seasonal items are counted towards the regular book, CD, and DVD limits.

This a pilot project that we will be trying for a time to see how well it works.

For a full list of the new limits, please see our Renewals, Holds, and Fines and Loan Periods and Limits pages.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us!

Borrow TV Shows by the Season and Non-Fiction DVDs for 3 weeks!

You asked, we listened!

We have revamped our TV collection on DVD to make it easier for you to watch your favourite shows. TV shows are now being packaged by the season with a 3 week loan period so that you have plenty of time to watch.

Additionally, we have a new Express TV collection coming soon for more popular shows where we anticipate numerous holds. Keep an eye out for the announcement.

Non-Fiction DVDs have also been extended to 3 weeks to provide more time to absorb and learn the great material available.

We are very excited to announce these changes, and hope everyone enjoys the benefits!

Please note that you may notice multiple entries in our catalogue for the same TV show and season during the transition period or because of the new Express copies. Please make sure you are placing holds on the correct copy, or if you cannot place a hold, check that it is not an express copy.

If you have any questions, please contact us.
