Amnesty International: Write for RIGHTS
Letter writing has always been at the heart of Amnesty International’s work, and over 60 years of activism shows us that words have power. Last year, Amnesty took over 4.6 million actions held more than 200 events in Canada alone. Together, Amnesty and ordinary citizens wrote millions of letters, emails, and tweets and signed petitions in support of defending human rights around the world.
Join us in the iConnect LAB where we will be available to talk about the writing campaign. We will provide letter writing materials so that you can easily lend your voice to the call to improve human rights.
This program is a free drop-in for all ages.
This program is done in collaboration between the New Westminster Public Library and Amnesty International.
