UPDATE: September 17, 2020:

Effective Tuesday, September 22, 2020, both branches of the library have reopened. All Holds can now be picked up in person at the library. See our Reopening page for hours of operation and available services.

Until further notice, we will not be charging for late or overdue materials. 


All materials, including CD’s and DVD’s are currently checked out for 6 weeks.

For the first month, new borrowers are limited to 5 items checked out at any time.

Standard account holders may borrow a maximum of 75 items at one time with the limits listed below:    

  • Express Books and Video Games: 5

  • Express View TV and Movies: 5

  • CDs, DVDs, and Magazines: 25

  • eReaders, Chromebooks etc.: 1


You may place a maximum of up to 75 items on hold at one time.

There are multiple ways to renew items:

  • Call our automated 24-hour renewals system at 604-527-4686
  • Log into your account on our website and renew items under Loans
  • Call the library during open hours at 604-527-4667
  • Renew items in-person at our service desk or by using our checkout machines

Most items may be renewed five times, unless:

  • The item is on reserve or in heavy demand

  • The item is an express item

  • You owe more than $10 (adults) or $5 (children)

  • You have more than 5 items overdue

  • You have reached the maximum number of renewals


Log into the library catalogue, search for and place a hold on any desired items.

Notices will be sent out by email once your holds are ready.  You are able to come into the library to pick up your holds, and check them out, in person at the branches.

We have extended the pick-up period to 14 days.


Public Library InterLINK is a group of libraries from the Lower Mainland, Fraser Canyon, and Whistler areas. Residents of these communities can go to any member library and register to borrow material. Please bring your home library card and identification with you.


If you are visiting a region of BC outside the InterLINK area, you can register at any InterLINK library. When you get to your destination, take your home library card and current ID to the local library and ask for the OneCard decal.
