At NWPL we offer a wide variety of resources for parents and caregivers, including:

  • Books and DVDs on a number of parenting topics, such as sleep and potty training
  • Books, magazines, DVDs, audiobooks and video games for kids and teens of all ages
  • Lists of recommended titles for children and their caregivers on a variety of subjects
  • Free programs for children
  • Information on local tutors, community programs and other resources
  • Board games you can play together in the library, puzzles, and colouring

FOR EDUCATORS

Are you a teacher or early childhood educator? We can help support you with:

  • Storytime Kits containing books, CDs, and flannel board stories related to a popular theme.
  • Books and other resources with early learning activity ideas, rhymes, and songs for storytime, and more. See our Early Learning and Literacy Resource list here!
  • Class visits: We are happy to host both in-person and virtual visits to the library for K-12 students and teachers. Please contact us at 604-527-4677 or youth@nwpl.ca to discuss options.
