COVID-19 Services

UPDATE: September 9, 2021

Vaccine Cards

Beginning Sept. 13, 2021, proof of vaccination is required to access specific in-person activities across the province. At this point you will *not* require a vaccine card to enter and use the library. We are, however, working with officials from our municipal, provincial, and regional partners to determine what this means for libary programs and in-person meetings. Check back frequently for updates!

Getting the BC Vaccination Card

Make sure you know your date of birth, personal health number (PHN) and the date you got your first or second vaccine dose.

Are you using a smartphone or computer and printer? Visit the province’s Proof of vaccination and BC Vaccination Card website and follow the instructions there.

Do you know someone who does not have a computer or smartphone? They can call 1-833-838-2323 (translators available) to have the BC Vaccination Card mailed to them.

Need help from the library? Library staff can  help you get your BC Vaccination Card — drop in and ask for assistance at any of our staff desks. Make sure you have the information you need with you when you arrive (personal health number and date of vaccination dose).

Mandatory Face Coverings:

As of Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2021, masks must be worn in all indoor public spaces throughout B.C. to help slow the transmission of COVID-19 as B.C. prepares for the fall and respiratory illness season.

The order from the provincial health officer will require people 12 and older to wear masks in indoor public settings, regardless of vaccination status.

We continue to update our Library Restart Plan and are working closely with the City to develop a Communicable Disease Plan as per the Province’s Restart Plan.

We strongly recommend:

  • that you stay home if you’re feeling unwell
  • that you sanitize before and after your visit
  • that you do not visit in large groups
